Cables
Monday, April 19th 5:45-7:00

Using the Single Cable Scarf pattern in the One Skein book Joanna will show you how fun and easy cables are to knit.
Skill: Beginner
Materials: One Skein book, one skein of Blue Sky Alpaca’s Cotton, size 9 needles and a cable needle or a double point needle size 9

Cedar Leaf Shawlette (date Change)
Saturdays, May 1st & 15th 11:00 – 1:00

This beautiful crescent shaped shawl with a lace leaf border will drape your shoulders or around your neck as a scarf. It is made with short rows and basic lace knitting. We will be using Malabrigo Silky Merino or Manos Silk Blend.
Skill Level: Inter. Beginner
Materials: Three skeins of Malabrigo or Manos yarn, Cedar Leaf pattern
Homework: Gauge swatch and cast on 270 stitches and knit six (6) rows

This top down sweater with lace is made in a bulky yarn so it goes quickly and with the easy to understand direction and Joanna teaching it is a great first sweater for any level. Pattern available in a PDF (listed is materials) download or at the store.

Intarsia
Monday April 5th and 12th 6:00 to 8:00

Intarsia is knitting blocks of color with separate balls or bobbins of yarn. Using the Roo Design pattern of your choice (we have a large selection to choose from) Learn how to make the cutest child’s sweater. Depending on the design the sizes range from 6 months to 6 years.
Skill Level: Intr. Beginner
Materials: Roo Design pattern, yarn of choice; we used Cotton Fleece,
Homework: Gauge swatch, cast on and knit until you are ready to begin the color row.

Lace Scarf
Monday April 26th and May 3rd 6:00 to 8:00

The Branching Out scarf incorporates the most common increases and decreases used in lace knitting. It can also be embellished with beads; on the ends, throughout or not at all.
