Winter Classes

Happy Holidays

We have finished our Winter Class Schedule early…Hooray!! It is full of a variety of levels for knitting and crochet. And even a field trip is included in one of the classes!

Just a reminder we have started our Holiday Hours: Monday 11-7, Tuesday – Friday 11-5:30, Saturday 11-5 and Sunday 12-4 until December 23rd. We will be closed December 24th, 25th & 26th for Christmas and December 31st & January 1st for New Years.

Remember if you are finding it hard to finish your projects at home because of everything else that needs to be done, join us on Monday for the Knitting Social starting at 5:00 or come in anytime to enjoy our comfortable couch.

Waves of Grain Lace Scarf

This generously sized scarf is a beautiful way of incorporating lace weight yarn and beads, you will be knitting two identical halves with beaded ends then graft them together in the middle. Your first class will be a “Field Trip” to the Gem and Bead fair to find the perfect beads (bring your gauge swatch or yarn to match beads) . This class is limited to 5 knitters.
Skill Level: Intermediate, experience reading a chart is helpful but not necessary.

We will make the Leaf Lace Washcloth from Fiber Trends. Learn the mechanics of lace knitting, the provisional cast on and how to read a lace chart. Pattern included.
Skill Level: Know how to knit and purl.
Materials: Hemp for Knitting, Hempton, Size 5 needles or size to get gauge.

Thursdays, March 19th and 26th 5:30 to 7:30

Learn what all the excitement is about knitting your own socks! Using Knitting Pure and Simple’s pattern and double point needles, we will teach you the basic sock. Pattern is included.
Skill: Be familiar with Double Point Needles, know the long tail cast on, knit and purl.
Materials: Worsted weight yarn and size 6 double point needles.
Homework: Cast on and follow pattern for a total of 5 inches.
