Fall Class Schedule

Magic Loop Toe up with a “Pattern”
Tuesdays, September 15th 6:00 to 8:00 September 29th 5:30 to 8:00
The second sock syndrome is solved; make them at the same time with a 40” circular needle and now Chauntel is adding a extra twist to this class, she will bring a book of patterns and you will choose one for your sock. This class is limited to 4 knitters.

Skill level: Know all the techniques for knitting socks.
Materials: One 40” circular needle size 2 or 3 depending on your tension, one skein of Alpaca Sox or Misti Alpaca Sock.

First Sock
Saturdays, September 19th and 26th 11:00 to 1:00
Learn what all the excitement is about knitting your own socks! Using Knitting Pure and Simple’s pattern and double point needles, Joanna will teach you the basic sock.
Skill: Know the long tail cast on, knit and purl.
Materials: Pattern, worsted weight yarn and size 6 double point needles.
Homework: Cast on and follow pattern for a total of 5 inches.

February Lady Sweater
Tuesday, September 22nd, October 6th and 20th 6:00 to 8:00
"A swingy lace cardigan” This sweater combines three of Elizabeth Zimmermann's favorite things; garter stitch, simple and easy to memorize lace and no seaming! This pattern can be very easily modified. Download pattern from

Skill Level: Intermediate Beginner
Material: O Wool Classic, Lorna’s Laces or Araucania Aysen, Size 8 needles or size to get gauge.

Beginning Crochet
Wednesdays, September 23rd and 30th 5:30 to 7:30
The combination of single, double and the shell stitch makes this adorable beanie an easy first project and great gift.

Materials: Crochet Basics by Vogue Knitting On the Go, one skein of Malabrigo Silky Merino
and size G hook

Felted Clogs
Saturdays, September 26th and October 3rd 2:00 to 4:00
Using the Fiber Trends clog pattern Joanna will teach you “short rows”, “picking up stitches” and “ three needle bind off” while making these warm slippers that are great fun on hardwood floors.
Skill: Know how to knit, purl and cast on
Materials: Pattern, 100% wool, size 13 needles in 16 and 24 inches

Adult Beginning Knitting
Thursdays, October 1st, 8th and 15th 6:00 to 8:00
Learn how to cast on, knit, purl, yarn-over and bind off while creating a washcloth in this three session class. The class will also cover the importance of gauge, needle size, reading a label and the difference in weights of yarn.
Skill Level: Excited and eager to learn
Materials: Size 8 needles and one skein worsted weight yarn.


Beaumont Tam
Tuesdays, October 13th and 27th 6:00 to 8:00

Homework: Gauge swatch 7 sts. in colorwork on size 7 needle or size to get gauge. Gauge is very important.

Little Girl’s Shrug
Thursdays, October 29th and November 5th 6:00 to 8:00
A sweet shrug that has sizing for 18 months up to girls size 10! Perfect for over a top or dress. Simple raglan construction makes this a quick fun knit.

Skill: Intermediate Beginner
Materials: Spud and Chloe Sweater, Size 7 & 5 24” circular and size 5 DPNs or size to obtain gauge (20 sts = 4”) and pattern

Rambling Scarf
Tuesdays, November 3rd and 17th 6:00 to 8:00
Rambling is the perfect first cable project. There is no rhyme or reason because you are in charge of placing the cable twists whenever you want. No two versions of Rambling will ever be the same. You will also learn how to do cables without a cable needle if you want. Download pattern at:
