Market to Market - Knit Version
Tuesdays, April 1st , 8th 5:30 to 7:30 2 places left

Skill: Intermediate Beginner
Materials: One skein of Euro-Flax Linen, pattern, size 4 and 9 circular needles 24”

Toe up socks on the Magic Loop *** NEW DATE **
Thursdays, May 29th, June 12th 5:30 to 7:30
Chauntel will take the confusion out of the Magic Loop technique while making toe-up socks.
Skill: Know all the techniques for knitting socks
Materials: One 40” circular needle size 2 or 3 depending on your tension, one skein of “Alpaca Sox” or “Rio de la Plata

Adult Beginning Knitting
Wednesdays, April 16th,23rd, 30th 5:30 to 7:30 Full

Saturdays, June 14th, 21st, 28th 11:00 to 1:00
Learn how to cast on, knit, purl, yarn-over and bind off while creating a washcloth in this three session class. The class will also cover the importance of gauge, needle size, reading a label and the difference in weights of yarn.
Skill Level: Excited and eager to learn!!
Materials: Size 8 needles and one skein worsted weight yarn.

First Sock
Tuesdays, April 22nd, 29th 5:30 to 7:30 Full
Learn what all the excitement is about knitting your own socks! Using Knitting Pure and Simple’s pattern and double point needles, Joanna will teach you the basic sock. Pattern is included.
Skill: Know the long tail cast on, knit and purl.
Materials: Worsted weight yarn and size 6 double point needles.
Homework: Cast on and follow pattern for a total of 5 inches.

Market to Market - Crochet Version

Mobis Cowl

Chauntel will be teaching Cat Bordhi’s Mobis knitting technique of a single surface with 180 degree twist to make a cowl scarf.

Join Joanna as she walks you through the steps of making this simple raglan cardigan that will be great for over tank tops and sundresses this summer. Pattern included.

Materials: Bulky weight yarn or doubled sport weight

Beginning Crochet
Wednesdays, May 14th, 21st, 28th 5:30 to 7:30
Using Rowan’s All Season Cotton, Brook will show you: chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, increasing and decreasing.
Skill: Beginner
Materials: Size H or I crochet hook (metal or bamboo), One skein of Rowan All Seasons Cotton, or any worsted weight cotton of your choice.

Knit Refresher Workshop
Saturday, April 12th 1:30 to 3:30
The knitting bug has got you again but you feel rusty and the needles are a bit dusty. Brook will help you get back into it with this refresher workshop.
Skill: Have knit before, just can’t remember.
Materials: Pair of needles between 7 to 9 and worsted weight yarn

Saturday, May 10th 1:00 to 2:30
Brook will be teaching increasing stitches by M1 (make one), Kfb (knit front and back) Then decreasing by using a right slant decrease or a left slant decrease.

* Bind Off Workshop
Saturday, May 10th 3:00 to 4:30
Using worsted weight yarn put a decorative edge to your knitted item while binding off. Brook will show you the Picot, I-cord, and a Double Crochet bind off’s
Skill: Know how to knit, purl and cast on
Homework: Make three (3) swatches in Stockinnette stitch that will give you at least 5”inches to bind off.

Take the mystery out of cables and learn three different cable techniques that you can integrate in many knitted items.
