Using the Single Cable Scarf pattern in the One Skein book Joanna will show you how fun and easy cables are to knit.
Skill: Beginner
Materials: One Skein book, one skein of Blue Sky Alpaca’s Cotton, size 9 needle.

Adult Beginning Knitting *Three places left*
Saturdays, March 8th, 15th and 22nd 11:00 to 1:00

Learn how to cast on, knit, purl, yarn-over and bind off while creating
washcloth in this three session class. The class will also cover the
importance of gauge, needle size, reading a label and the difference
in weights of yarn.
Skill Level: Excited and eager to learn
Materials: Size 8 needles and one skein worsted weight yarn.

First Sock *Full*
Thursdays, January 24th and 31st 5:30 to 7:30

Learn what all the excitement is about knitting your own socks! Using Knitting Pure and Simple’s pattern and double point needles, Joanna will teach you the basic sock. Pattern is included.
Skill: Know the long tail cast on, knit and purl.
Materials: Worsted weight yarn and size 6 double point needles.
Homework: Cast on and follow pattern for a total of 5 inches.

Felted Clogs *Full*
Saturdays, January 26th and February 2nd 11:00 to 1:00

Using the Fiber Trends clog pattern Joanna will teach you “short rows”, “picking up stitches” and “ three needle bind off” while making these warm slippers that are great fun on hardwood floors….(pattern included)
Skill: Know how to knit, purl and cast on
Materials: 100% wool, size 13 needles in 16 and 24 inches

Beginning Crochet *Two places left*
Wednesdays March 3rd, 12th & 19th 5:30 to 7:30

Treat yourself to a spa accessory you won’t want to live without! A soft, squishy washcloth using Rowan’s All Season Cotton. Stitches learned: chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, increasing and decreasing. Run a bath, light some yummy candles and enjoy!!
Skill: Beginner
Materials: Size F crochet hook (metal or bamboo), One skein of Rowan All Seasons Cotton, or any worsted weight cotton of your choice.

First Sweater
Thursdays, February 7th, 21st, March 6th, 20th 5:30 to 7:30

Join Joanna as she walks you through the steps of making your first sweater “Tithe” from the Noro Unlimited book. This cardigan will be great for cool nights.
Skill: Intermediate Beginner
Materials: Noro Unlimited Book, worsted weight yarn and needles.
Homework: Make gauge swatch. Cast on for back and work for 12 inches.

First Hat *Full*
Saturdays, February 9th and 16th 2:00 to 4:00

Winter is here and it’s time to learn to make a hat. Brook will help you with circular needles then decreasing to double points.
Skill: Knit and purl
Materials: Worsted weight yarn with size 8 16” circular needle and size 8 double point needles.
Homework: knit a 4” x 4” gauge swatch

If you are anything like me, you like big bags. But they don’t always come with a lot of pockets to store everything in, so my solution is to have cute little bags to put my stuff in. It can transfer from bag to bag, or use it on its own. Crochet this little bag with a linen and merino wool blend that will provide stylish convenience for the spring and summer.
