Class Schedule

Entralac Pillow
Thursdays, January 21st and 28th 6:00 to 8:00
The term entrelac means interlaced. It is one of those techniques that looks like it's going to be complicated until you actually do it. Instead of working one row of stitches after another, you work one row of blocks after another that is diagonally connected and looks like it is woven. Pattern included
Skill level: Intermediate Beginner
Materials:
3 skeins of Noro Kureon or Noro Silk Garden

Adult Beginning Knitting
Tuesdays March 9th, 16th & 23rd 5:30 to 7:30
Learn how to cast on, knit, purl, yarn-over and bind off while creating a
washcloth in this three session class. The class will also cover the
importance of gauge, needle size, reading a label and the difference
in weights of yarn
Skill Level: Excited and eager to learn
Materials: Size 8 needles and one skein worsted weight yarn.

Simple Summer Sweater
Tuesdays, February 2nd, 9th 23rd and March 2nd 6:00 to 8:00
The Simple Summer Tweed is a “staple” basic top down raglan pullover with a V or crew neck that can be knit for a casual loose fit or more fitted. It has a wide range of unisex sizes from XS to XXX-Large. Learn knitting in the round, increases & decreases and minimal seaming.

Magic Loop Toe up with a “Pattern”
Mondays, February 8th , 22nd and March 1st ` 6:00 to 8:00
The second sock syndrome is solved; make them at the same time with a 40” circular needle and now Chauntel is adding a extra twist to this class, she will bring a book of patterns and you will choose one for your sock. This class is limited to 5 knitters.
Skill level: Know all the techniques for knitting socks.
Materials:
One 40” circular needle size 2 or 3 depending on your tension, one skein of Alpaca Sox or Misti Alpaca Sock. Pattern Included

First Hat
Thursdays, February 18th and 25th 5:30 to 7:30
Winter is here and it’s time for hats. Using our pattern you’ll learn the formula to make a hat from any yarn! You will learn to knit in the round and decreasing using double point needles, or forget the double points and learn the magic loop.
Skill Level: Knit and purl
Materials: Favorite yarn with needle size the yarn is calling for in 16” circular and double point needles, or for the Magic Loop 40" circular needle.
Homework: knit a 4” x 4” gauge swatch

Solo “Ruffle Scarf” Workshop
Thursday June 21st
Two workshops to choose from 12:00-1:00 or 5:30-6:30

Learn how to make the Ruffle Scarf with one skein of the Solo Yarn. It is quick and easy and makes a great gift! The workshop includes one skein of yarn and pattern.

Material: Solo yarn and size 7 double point

2 Socks on Magic Loop
Tuesday June 19th and July 3rd 5:30 to 7:30
Do you have second sock syndrome, or just tried of double points, learn this technique of making two socks at the same time. The first session will be casting on and knitting the cuff, next week will be turning the heel and continuing with the foot. This technique can also be used to make two sleeves for sweaters.

Materials: Size 4 40" circular needle, size 4 double point needles using sport weight yarn

Homework: Make a 4x4 gauge swatch

Skill: Familiar with all techniques with making socks.
