Hugs for Haiti

Dear Fellow Knitters,

Thank you so much for participating in the “Hugs for Haiti”. I have received so many colorful and beautiful squares to be made into blankets for the Haitian people! To offer them a little softness in a day of despair means so much.
I will continue collecting squares until April 16th, 2010.

Sincerely,
Elena

We’ve given Elena three large bundles of squares for Hugs for Haiti and now we’re in the finale week with the basket half full please stop by and drop off any that you have ready!

Thanks again to everyone,
Julie

Summer Hours

Our store hours for the summer will be changing slightly because unfortunately my doctor hasn't released me for full time work in the store yet. So starting July 1st through August 26th we will be open:
Monday and Tuesday--11:00 to 5:30
Wednesday--Closed
Thursday and Friday--11:00 to 5:30
Saturday--11:00 to 4:00

Our Summer Class Schedule is out now (scroll down) with a lot of one day workshops to get your skills and techniques ready for those favorite projects that are in your queue.

And our most exciting news, we are now a stockist for the new line "Spud & Chloe" from Blue Sky Alpaca's! It's a beautiful super wash yarn in fine, worsted and bulky with it's own pattern support. You can visit Spud & Chloe's at http://www.spudandchloe.com/ and ttp://www.spudandchloe.com/blog/

Have a wonderful summer and remember our comfy couch is here for quality knitting and crocheting.

Hello Everyone

Thank you for all the well wishes, pray’s and of course the wonderful box of chocolates…..
I just wanted to let everyone know how much it has meant to me to receive all the cards and words of encouragement during the past five weeks since my accident. And to thank everyone for their understanding with changes in our store hours and closings during parts of the day while Joanna, Alison and Kamila are trying to keep the store open as much as possible during this time. I am deeply grateful.
I am slowly trying to get back to a normal life and am hopeful to be back in the store soon, so far I’m limited to bill paying then I’m ready to go home.
I am planning on being in the store from 2:00 to 3:00 this Saturday for “Knit in Public Day” to visit, knit and offer everyone a store wide sale of 15 % off all yarn as a thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.
Thank you again for all your thoughtfulness and I hope to see you this Saturday.
Julie
