So join us on July 25th from 1 to 4 at Arroyo Burro Beach (Hendrys Beach.). We will once again get together for a fun afternoon knitting and crocheting with friends. We'll be bringing the shade and an ice chest you just need to BYOB (beverage), a chair or towel to sit on and your project. We will be there for low tide so don't forget a container for your treasures.

Sunday at the Beach

Sunday at the Beach is here!! Join us this Sunday June 27th from 1 to 4 at Arroyo Burro Beach (Hendrys Beach.) Adult Beginning Knitting
Thursday June 24th/July 1st / 8th 5:30 to 7:30
Learn how to cast on, knit, purl, yarn-over and bind off while creating a washcloth in this three session class. The class will also cover the importance of gauge, needle size, reading a label and the difference in weights of yarn
Skill Level: Excited and eager to learn
Materials: Size 8 needles and one skein worsted weight yarn.

Little Girls Top
Thursday July 22nd and 29th 5:30-7:30
Love layering ease? This Lovey Dovey pattern from Spud & Chloe makes a great top to pair with leggings or pants, and it has a range from 6-9 months up to 8 years. Plus the Spud & Chloe yarn is a super wash not to mention great to work with.
Skill Level: Beginner. Know how to cast on and knit & purl.
Materials: Lovey Dovey pattern, size 10 32” circular needle or size to get gauge and Spud & Chloe yarn for the size you’ll be making.

Lizard Ridge Work Shop

This fun pattern can be made into many other things if a blanket is to overwhelming at this time: a pillow, purses, scarfs and if you want to felt it, a colorful hot pad is fun for anyone. It is made one square at a time by using the short rows technique, wrap & turns and how to hide them. This is great for the summer “small portable project” then it is assembled later. Hugs for Haiti

Dear Fellow Knitters,

Thank you so much for participating in the “Hugs for Haiti”. I have received so many colorful and beautiful squares to be made into blankets for the Haitian people! To offer them a little softness in a day of despair means so much.
I will continue collecting squares until April 16^th, 2010.

Cedar Leaf Shawlette (date Change)
Saturdays, May 1st & 15th 11:00 – 1:00

This beautiful crescent shaped shawl with a lace leaf border will drape your shoulders or around your neck as a scarf. It is made with short rows and basic lace knitting. We will be using Malabrigo Silky Merino or Manos Silk Blend.
Skill Level: Inter. Beginner

Intarsia is knitting blocks of color with separate balls or bobbins of yarn. Using the Roo Design pattern of your choice (we have a large selection to choose from) Learn how to make the cutest child’s sweater. Depending on the design the sizes range from 6 months to 6 years.
Skill Level: Intr. Beginner
Materials: Roo Design pattern, yarn of choice; we used Cotton Fleece,
Homework: Gauge swatch, cast on and knit until you are ready to begin the color row.

Lace Scarf
Monday April 26^th and May 3^rd 6:00 to 8:00

The Branching Out scarf incorporates the most common increases and decreases used in lace knitting. It can also be embellished with beads; on the ends, throughout or not at all.
